John 1—12 David Lipe
John is unique among the Gospels. Unlike the Synoptic Accounts, John omits some major events such as Jesus' virgin birth, temptations, and transfiguration and focuses on His private encounters rather than His public sermons. David L. Lipe offers a readable yet in-depth look at vivid narratives which reveal that the text was written by an eyewitness. He highlights Jesus' seven "I am" statements and seven "signs" recorded in John. This commentary offers a personal look at the One who became flesh so He could die that we might live. (568 pages)

John 13—21 David Lipe
In his coverage of the fourth Gospel Account, David L. Lipe examines the uniqueness in John's record of the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. At its core, this text is a look at who Jesus is and who He wants to be in our lives. The text depicts Jesus as the Word made flesh, the Master Teacher, the Great Physician, the Bread of Life, the Water of Life, the Good Shepherd, and the Victor over death. He can be all of these and more to those who answer John's call to believe and accept the Lord's offer of eternal life. (520 pages)
